This small white heron has white plumes on its crest, chest and back.
The bill and legs are black and it has striking bright yellow feet.
It has been expanding its range for several decades and has been seen in significant numbers in the UK since about 1990
It is most common on the South and East coasts of England, and river estuaries in Wales.
