Taken in Curacao Dec 2006 ....The Troupial or Turpial Icterus icterus is the national bird of Venezuela. It is black and yellow with a long white streak across the wing .

It inhabits woodland where it forages for insects and other arthropods. It is about the size of a blackbird and is a striking mixture of black, orange, and white.
