This woodland moth is not very common.
SE England, Wales & Eire
Wingspan 30-40 mm.
The adults emerge between September and October, and after overwintering are seen again from February to April.

The caterpillar foodplant is Oak, and like some other Lithophanes are sometimes cannibalistic.
