Serin - the first time I have ever seen & photographed a Serin, taken in Spain.

Member of Finch Family, has a short stubby bill
and a forked tail. Males and Females look quite similar, but the Male has a bright yellow head with darker areas around the eye and on the top of the head.

AS you muight guess from their bills they eat seeds, buds and small invertebrates

Uncommon in the UK and mainly restricted to the South and East costal areas.
