Mandrillus sphinx - monkeys are a group closely allied to and resembling man, ranging from antropoid apes to marmosets.

Mandrill are a type of baboon which are amongst some of the biggest monkeys in the old world. They prefer open country and travel about in groups or bands. They eat fruit, roots, insects and reptiles. Breeding generally takes place year-round. There is one young born after a gestation of about 6 months.
