Feeding on Pyramidal Orchid (Late June 2006)
Wingspan 3.2-3.6cm. Wings are yellowish orange to deep orange. Eye tip at spot of forewing. Underside a inconspicuuous grey brown pattern.
Flight period..mid march to mid Oct.
Caterpillar...green with longitudinal lines and a pale forked tail with stubbly hairs....feeds onseveral bent grasses, fescues.
