![]() | Don't let the mix slide off of the leaf otherwise you don't get a nice and strong edge to the concrete leaf. Leave therefore the edge of the fresh leaf visible. The concrete-layer has to be about two centimetres thick but it depends on the size of the leaf. When the leaf you use has thick veins, apply a thick layer of mix untop of the veins and the connection to the stem. When you use very big Gunnera-leaves the concrete needs to be reinforced with wire-netting in between two layers of mix. |
| When the leaf is ready, let it dry for about 4 days (depends on the surrounding humidity). | ![]() |
![]() | When the leaf is dry, the colour becomes much lighter. Turn it over and peel the leaf off from the concrete. |
