Bulb smelling of onion. Small flowers packed together in a dense spherical or shuttlecock umbel. Dried umbels are good for winter decoration. Frost hardy. Needs sunny location and well drained soil. Leave undisturbed to form clumps. Plant in the autumn for Spring flowering. Propagate by seed in late summer or in autumn by divison of clumps.
