Cultural notes


Hemerocallis will thrive in any good garden soil, in a sunny or semi-shaded location.

Plant out 500mm apart any time between October and April.
(Providing weather conditions allow).

After planting, leave undisturbed for a number of years

They will grow to a height of around 800-900mm high, forming clumps of arching, pale to mid-green leaves.

The flowers that appear from June to August can be up to 200mm across.

Cut the stems down to 25-50mm above ground level after flowering.

Divide and replant any time between October and April.
