Cultural notes

Can grow to around 4 metres high with a 2.5 metre spread.

Fremontia require a sunny free draining spot and are better supported on trellis or wires fixed to a South facing wall.

Sow seed at temperature of 16C in March/April, prick out into individual 70mm pots when large enough to handle, grow on and plant out in June/July.

To get more established plants pot up into 150mm pots in June/July and over winter in a frost free site,and plant out May/June.
