Parasol Mushroom, Large (up to 20cm dia and 30cm tall).
The stem is a pale gold, to golden brown, becoming scaly (rather like snake skin) when mature.

Good to Eat, but ensure it's not the Shaggy Parasol (Macrolepiota rhacodes), the flesh of which goes orange when cut, as the rhacodes species can cause stomach upsets in some people.
