Cap 8-30cms stem 8-25cms. The young, deeply convex caps are often wrinkled and narrower than the broad stem but expand to a large, flesy, shallow dome shape. Found in woodland and grass where there is oak,beech, birch and pine. Early summer to autumn.
Edible. Old specimens like in the photo above dry well.
