Also known as Linden. Tallest of broad leaved UK trees (100ft) but here seen pleached into a cordon. Tiny fragrant flowers in June, followed by pea-like fruits. Moist, well drained soil. Sun or partial shade. Remove suckers. Prone to aphid attack.
