Deciduous shrub grown for its very fragrant flowers. H2-3m. Poisonous sap. Frost tender to 13C/55F. Requires full sun and freely draining soil. Water potted specimens moderately when in growth, keep dry in winter when leafless. Stem tips may be cut to encourage branching. Propagate by seed or by leafless stem-tip cuttings in late spring.
