This recent introduction is a cross between Robustum and Incanum, both south African species. It is supposed to be hardier than both parents but I still find it difficult to keep growing in the north of the UK. People living further south may find it easier in a sheltered spot but to ensure success over winter I recommend you take it into a cool greenhouse. It has deeply divided foliage and a sprawling habit. Plant in full sun in a sharply drained soil. Divide by cuttings.
