Cultural notes

Sow seeds early in season February/March and germinate @18C. Prick out into 70mm pots of potting compost(equiv.JI.1) when large enough to handle.

Plant out when all fear of frost has gone against a South facing wall in well drained humus rich soil, tying in new growth as necessary to wires or trellis fixed to the wall.


Take 75-100mm cuttings of side shoots in July/August,inserting same in equal parts
(by volume)peat & sand and propagate @ 16C.
Pot up rooted cuttings into 70-100mm pots of potting compost(eqiv. JI.2)
and overwinter in a coldframe.

Plant out after last frost - May/June


Cut back previous seasons growth back to 150mm in April/May
