Evergreen, upright shrub; bright, fragrant green leaves edged with cream. Fragrant saucer shaped white flowers from mid-summer to autumn, followed by purple berries.
Needs a sheltered sunny site as it is frost tender.
Slow growing but prune in late spring if necessary.
Propagate by sowing seed under glass in spring. Bottom heat is needed for summer softwood cuttings.
