Cultural notes

Grow Lonicera in humus rich soil in a sunny or partially shaded position.

They are best sited to ensure that their roots are in the shade. This can be accomplished by planting low growing shrubs or bedding plants in front of them.

Take 75-100mm stem cuttings in July or August and insert in pots of equal parts (by volume) peat & sand and propagate @ 16C.
When rooted pot up into 70mm pots of potting compost (equiv.JI.1) and grow on. Plant out September/October.

Thin out old wood after flowering.
