No such thing as a bird brain indeed. Ruby our Rainbow Lorikeet is now about 3 years old and when she was first with me as a chick, she mimicked our phone ringing. It was ring ring 5 times and then answerphone cut in. We had that phone for about the first 6 months of her life and then got a new phone and changed the ring tone….but she still rings that phone, 5 times and when it stops says ‘Hello!’ How are you? ….. I’m good! She always catches us out emoticon

She calls Dora come, Dora come! DORA COME! Daisy Doo (she says this in much softer voice)…. Hester, Ollie, come on!
And So it goes on all day. She can recite per se If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled pepper…….. if she sees another cat outside other than our two, she screams and has a hissy fit. Remarkably clever little bird…..
