| Snow gone? A bit warmer for you all? We are still very dry here in the north and I keep getting birds in that are suffering. I see my Swallows daily as they buzz over my head, my sparrows are doing just fine, Ralph the Weka has doubled in size, Drummer the Tui has left his aviary a few times now and when he gets into trouble, returns to the aviary which is really good (or lands on my head!) and Pav.... needless to say he is wonderful |

Wish I'd been in Essex this morning Phill lol. I went for a lovely walk round my local nature reserve this morning and saw Herons, Kestrels, Jays, Woodpeckers, Parakeets and Long-tailed Tits to name just a few, but the sky so dull none of my photos have come out well |

It's warm like May here(50 degrees F), unseasonably warm, with lots of gusty winds, up to 40-50 miles per hour, and rain, rain, rain. We've had small stream flooding advisories on the news last night into this morning. I already found my garbage cans down the street, and my mini-American Flags I decorate my garden with were out of their holders and out into the driveway and street! The next few days it is supposed to return to normal January weather with cold and freezing temps, so later today, I'm going 'round the property to check the status of all my plants, etc, to see if I've got anybody heaving out of their beds before the frost comes. Spring, where are you? |

The sun is trying to shine here but it is still quite cold. It is also windy. On the down side we have more snow forecast for Friday and next Monday. At the moment we are filling the bird feeders daily to keep up with all our feathered visitors. |

It is snowing tonight with forecast for more tomorrow though not much I dont think. Was very cold today. I spent the day stood out on the marshes and after 5 hours almost lost the will to live lol. Still the views of the tens of thousands of waders was worth braving hyperthermia |
