Comments and pictures from those who have tried this project
We've
heard from teacher Colleen who will be using this project with
her computing students. I've asked if they can extend their
studies to learning how to email us pics of what they create!
We've
also heard from Trish who has used the idea successfully but adapted
it for the programs American Greetings CreataCard and Microsoft
Greetings 2000 to make them using a blank page. She says,
"these programs have lots of floral graphics and you can use
pictures of your own garden."
Andrea in Wales sent us some pics (right) of tiny packets that she created.
She's fairly new to computing
and found the project a good learning tool. She did very well!
We've had lots of "thank yous". Here's one from Christine Mead in Utah "Hi! I wanted to say thanks for having the seed packet info. I collect seeds ( mostly heirloom) and it gives me a pretty way to share my seeds. Thank You."
Jacqui in Dorset varied the theme to create potpourri sachets. She
says, " I filled them with lavender heads or potpourri. Used the
paper in landscape position, made the packet as large as possible,
thicker paper works well if you want it to last longer."
Jacqui's packet measures 4.5" x 4.5" and she printed the
starburst pattern on both the back and front of the packets.
