Although we were avid Monty Don and garden fans, I had never known the pleasures of gardening first hand until my wife and I moved from Falmouth to this little working village of St. Keverne in Cornwall. We wanted a garden and couldnt afford the prices in Falmouth so Sandy searched the web and came up with this 300 year old cottage and its 65ft x 35ft secluded back garden (and shed). That was five years ago and now we grow our own vegetables, fruit and flowers as do most people in the village. We have two small plots in the front where we cultivate (within reason)whatever wants to grow. A little while ago a friend sent me some poppy seeds shed collected in Greece knowing I have had no success in growing them here. Can anyone advise me please?
